Albert studied at the Regional National Conservatoire, where he gained prizes for double bass and sight reading.

 

After a stint as an assistant at the Conservatoire and as associate bass player for Lyons Opera House, he was appointed as a double bass player for the Orchestre du Grand Théâtre, Limoges.

Since 1983, he has been the double bass teacher at La Rochelle conservatoire, as well as organising and teaching the student symphony orchestra and string orchestra.

Parallèlement : Pendant 10 ans, professeur aux Rencontre Internationale de Capbreton, avec le regretté Christian Nogaro.

For 10 years, he was a teacher at the International Double Bass School in Capbreton.

He is a member of various different groups such as « Ars Nova », « Mensa Sonora »,  « Musique Baroque sur Instruments d’Époque », « Orchestre Poitou Charente », « Ensemble Instrumental du Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental de La Rochelle », as well as several chamber and symphonic groups around the Poitou-Charante region, and the « Orchestre Symphonique de Vendée ».
